What OWN.time knows about you, and what it does with it.

What we keep
Your email address. The name, message and country you choose to show. Your picture, if you add one. Which minutes you have held, when, and what you paid. If you make an account, the fact that you have one; your password is kept by our sign-in provider in a scrambled form that nobody, including us, can read.
What everyone can see
The name, message, country flag and picture you chose, once they have passed our check, the minutes you hold, and what was paid for them. That is the game.
What nobody else can see
Your email address, ever. It is not shown on any page, not given to other players, and not sold or rented to anyone.
What we use your email for
To link the minutes you take to you, to sign you in, and to tell you about your minutes: that you hold one, that one was taken, that a payment was sent back, or that your text or picture was not accepted. Every email that is not a receipt has a one-click way to stop it.
The "shield has ended" email
On a shielded minute you can ask for one email when the shield ends. We pass the address you type to our email provider, which holds that one email until then and sends it. We do not save the address, add it to any list, or link it to a player.
Payments
Card payments are handled by Stripe. We never see or keep your card number. Stripe tells us that a payment was made, its amount, and the email used.
Who helps us run the site
Supabase keeps the database, the sign-in and the pictures. Stripe handles payments. Vercel serves the pages, and tells us roughly which country a visitor is in so the take form can suggest it. Resend delivers our emails. Each of them handles your data only to do that job for us.
Pictures
Before a picture leaves your device it is made small and square, which also removes hidden details such as where the photo was taken. It is shown to nobody but you until a person has approved it.
Cookies and the like
No advertising and no tracking across other sites. If you sign in, your browser keeps a sign-in token so you stay signed in. That is all.
Your choices
You can change your name and message, and change or remove your picture, from My minutes at any time. You can ask us for a copy of what we hold about you, or to delete your account and your email. Past holds stay in each minute's history, but without your name or picture.
